What an incredible location, hosts, accommodation, and food! I need to give a special mention to Vihanga who was an amazing host and we had some amazing conversations and he helped me immensely with arranging transport for future trips, and also arranging a tuk tuk to drop and pick me up for the day. His Mother prepared an amazing dinner and breakfast (dinner was very reasonably priced too). I loved every minute of my stay - thank you! ❤️

It was so special to stay at Vihanga village. It’s so tastefully designed by the owner Rohan himself who is an art director and located in the middle of the lush jungle 😍 rice paddies and ridiculously beautiful landscapes just a stroll away.
I immediately felt at home and Deepa creates the most stunning meals! I even got to cook with her one night 🙏🏻
Vihanga was extremely helpful - organizing all kind of trips for me and getting the best prices.
Can’t recommend to stay at this special place more!! Big thanks to the whole family who runs this magical place 💜

Vihanga Village is a little piece of heaven, tucked away a short 2 KMs off Dambulla. The place is truly magical and you can certainly see all the love Rohan (the owner) and his wife have put in building it. It's a fantastic place to relax, take a break from the madness of the city, be in nature, listen to the birds, shower with the monkeys and giant squirrels or enjoy the delicious food prepared by Rohan's wife.

Rohan was there to give me the best tips, arrange for a great tuktuk driver to take me where I wanted to go at a very reasonable price and make sure I was always happy. When he had to leave to work on his next film, I was left in the very capable hands of his son Vihanga who took over and organised everything for me. When I came back from my adventures, Vihanga was always up for a chat and I learnt so much about life in Sri Lanka. As a solo female traveller, I felt not only safe but also always looked after in a caring and non intrusive way. I absolutely loved my stay in Vihanga Village and you will too. Thank you very much to the entire family for making my stay in Dambulla so memorable!

Nice collection of differently styled bungalows in a jungle-like setting. We had a family room which was very spacious and had a veranda and two outside bathrooms with dhower and toilet. You'll hear nothing but birds and crickets. The owners were very friendly, and the breakfast changes every day.
